The practice · Vol. I

Sound, as we hold it.

A sound bath is an immersive, full-body listening experience where participants lie down comfortably while a practitioner plays a variety of instruments, including crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, and other overtone-rich tools. The resonant frequencies create a spacious environment that many guests find supportive for settling, resting, and turning attention inward.

Unlike music performance, a sound bath is not about melody or rhythm. It is about vibration and presence. The layered tones create a sonic environment that can support relaxation, quiet reflection, and a meditative state, often without any prior meditation experience.

At Sacred Society in Denver's Highlands neighborhood, our sound baths are held in an intimate, intentionally designed space. Sessions are led by experienced practitioners who tailor each journey to the energy of the room. Whether you are new to sound baths or have an established practice, every session offers something different.

Benefits · Vol. II

A practice that invites rest.

A short list of the threads our sound baths weave together, held at a humane pace.

Deep Relaxation

The combination of a quiet room, comfortable props, and layered sound can make rest feel more accessible.

A Slower Pace

Singing bowls, gongs, and chimes invite a slower rhythm that many guests describe as grounding.

Room for Reflection

The spaciousness of a sound bath can offer a gentle container for noticing what is present without needing to explain it.

Support for Unwinding

Many guests use sound baths as part of a broader routine for slowing down and returning to a quieter pace.

Evening Wind-Down

A slower evening class can be a helpful transition between a full day and a quieter night at home.

Accessible Meditation

No experience required. The sound does the work of quieting the mind, making sound baths one of the most accessible entry points into meditative practice.

What to expect as you settle in.

The shape of a session, beginning to end. No surprises — just a steady invitation to put the day down and rest in sound.

  • 01Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in. We'll have mats, blankets, and bolsters ready for you.
  • 02You'll lie down in a comfortable position. Lying on your back is most common, but any position that lets you relax is welcome.
  • 03The practitioner will open the session with a brief grounding or breathwork exercise, then begin playing instruments.
  • 04Sessions typically last 60–75 minutes. You may drift in and out of awareness, which is completely normal and welcome.
  • 05Afterward, there is a gentle transition period. Many people describe feeling both deeply rested and quietly alert.
  • 06Wear comfortable, warm layers. The room is kept at a cozy temperature, but your body temperature may drop as you relax.

Questions · Vol. IV

Thoughtfully answered.

What is a sound bath and how does it work?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you lie comfortably while a practitioner plays crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments. The vibrations and frequencies create an immersive sonic environment that can support relaxation, reflection, and a slower pace.

Where can I find a sound bath in Denver?

Sacred Society offers regular group sound baths in Denver's Highlands neighborhood at 3410 W 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80211. Check our live schedule above for upcoming sessions, including weekday evening and weekend options.

Do I need experience to attend a sound bath?

No prior experience is needed. Sound baths are one of the most accessible forms of meditation. You simply lie down and let the sound guide you. Our practitioners create a welcoming space for complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

How much does a sound bath cost in Denver?

Pricing can vary by session length, format, and special event details. Check the live schedule for the current price before you reserve.

How often should I attend a sound bath?

Many guests attend once a week or every other week. Like any personal practice, the right rhythm depends on your schedule, preferences, and how the experience fits into your broader wellness routine.

What should I wear to a sound bath?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, such as yoga or loungewear. Layers are helpful since your body temperature may drop slightly during deep relaxation. We provide mats, blankets, and bolsters.

Are sound baths safe during pregnancy?

If you are pregnant, please consult your healthcare provider before attending a sound bath. Sound sessions can include sustained vibration, low tones, and louder instruments, so we recommend choosing what feels appropriate with your care team.
